Call for abstracts
We invite you to submit high-quality abstracts with focus on the symposium overall theme of empowering the new generation of water sector professionals and scientists. Abstracts should be aimed at managing the challenges and developments of a rapidly changing water sector across the world. In particular we encourage participation of young professionals and other water-related organizations that are based or active in the Global South and who can share approaches, perspectives, partnerships and initiatives in capacity strengthening stemming from the South-South partnerships. Original contributions emanating from case studies’ findings and rigorous analytical studies are particularly welcome.
Abstracts can be submitted for either an oral presentation or a poster in one of the four open tracks.
They should provide:
- a clear message about the purpose and goal of the study;
- an outline of the methodology;
- a short, but meaningful discussion of the key results with conclusions; and
- the relevance of the results for the water sector and the symposium overall theme.
Please submit your abstract of 400–500 words by 03 February 2025. Authors of selected abstracts will be notified about acceptance by 01 March 2025. The authors will be provided with a template for a maximum 4-page extended abstract, to be submitted to us by 19 May 2025. Authors will also be provided with a presentation ppt or poster template, to be submitted by 16 June 2025.
Among the contribution, the symposium Programme Committee will select several high-quality topics to be published in the special IWA journal issue. Selected authors will be requested to submit full papers after the completion of the symposium.
